100-cigar Bally Glass Top Humidor

It’s not often you find a company that produces a quality product at a spectacular price, and then couples it with an amazing customer support team. Just a quick background on me:I’m a light-moderate cigar smoker. I enjoy a variety of cigars, but am still a novice in the overall spectrum of this industry. With that being said, I still know quality when I see it and wanted to begin building on my affinity for cigars by purchasing a humidor. Do I know everything there is to know about humidors? No. I don’t. My first instinct was (as it always is), to buy the most expensive one on amazon (perhaps a Diamond Crown), and bask in the glory. But here’s the truth. After really assessing what I knew about cigars and how often I smoke, I couldn’t justify such a wildly outlandish expenditure. I realized I also had more to learn about humidors, and after doing a good bit of research, decided to take the plunge on this product.Here’s the bottom line. The first humidor I received was cracked. In my opinion, I really believe it was dropped and beat up during shipping (thanks to our wonderful postal system). Immediately, my heart sank when opening the box. I really wanted this to work out smoothly…but prepared myself for another roller-coaster ride, expecting it to take another month to get it back. I contacted the seller over the phone (Manny) on a Saturday morning. Left a message, and then went outside to wash my 350Z (best car in the universe) leaving my cell phone in my apartment. After a quick cleaning (30 min.), I noticed a message…low and behold, the shipper already called back. So, how’d it go? I shipped it for $15.48, the seller shipped it back immediately once getting confirmation of the tracking number (not even waiting until it was in their possession), and then refunded me $16 (for shipping cost). Upon receiving the product a second time, they ensured it was well maintained by packing it inside two boxes. This all happened in less than a week. Great customer service backed up by their word, which is something not many companies can say today.The product is amazing. It has a smooth wood finish and is very well constructed. I was very curious personally on the seal when closing the humidor. Having played with a few more expensive ones in cigar shops, I noticed they really seal shut when closing them…this does it the exact same way. It almost latches itself closed for you when shutting it. Someone else commented about the smell. I know that sounds crazy, but I have to really agree! Maybe its the wood? There are gold hinges on the inside (if anyone cares). Getting the temperature right takes some playing with, but again, that’s part of the fun for me. Going back to my earlier comments about myself, this was something I was looking to learn from (while not making it look like I was learning). Funny thing is, even if I was a “cigar expert”, I’d still buy this thing! The top wooden part easily pops off, leaving plenty of room underneath. The keys give it a really fancy touch.Not really much else to say here. Great humidor. Great customer service. Can’t ask for much more.
