If you’ve been driving yourself crazy trying to find a latch with a 5″ backset, you’ve come to the right place! 7.6mm Square Opening: If you are looking for a 5″ backset entry latch, you’ll amazingly find ours with a 19/64″ square opening instead of a half-moon hole like others, which means it will accept the square interface of most knobset and 90° leverset manufacturers. Standard Door Preparation: Requires a dia. 2-1/8″ cross bore hole on the face of the door and a dia. 1″ edge bore hole on the edge of the door. Depending on door and handleset, you may have to do some modification of the door to make it fit.
