Let me start by saying I’m was a bit surprised by how much I like this thing. I ordered it mostly to use as a monitor riser to make my viewing angle more ideal for my setup, but after putting this together and setting it up, it’s actually a lot nicer than I expected.This comes in a single box, with everything well protected. You get a Philips Head screw driver, 8 screws, four feet and two wooden spacer blocks that go between the shelves. I’ll attach the one-page assembly instructions to the pictures. It’s super simple to put together. You just screw the wooden blocks to the upper shelf, then attach the lower shelf to those blocks. (I found it easiest to run the screws through the holes first (taking care not to let the laminate pull away from the base material) and then set it on top of the blocks (with the top shelf laying upside-down)–see picture with the screws sticking out. Then you can line up the screws with the holes and then screw them down. You’ll have about five minutes in this whole setup from start to finish.In my pictures, I have two older Dell 24″ 16:10 displays (a little taller than a modern 16:9 would be, but not by much). These are side-by-side, and they fit like a glove. You could probably go a tiny bit wider, but I don’t think I’d want the weight too far to the sides because of the wooden spacer blocks. You want the weight over or between them, not past them.I’ve also put a picture with a 14″ laptop under the bottom shelf to show how that looks. You can literally place that and something else down there, and then you have the entire middle area for things. There’s also two slots for pens/pencils/markers. I find it a great way to get those smaller bits of clutter off of my basement workspace where they would otherwise just find their way all over my workspace.Oh, one other thing! The black shelf material is a soft-touch laminate. It gives the shelf a nice little extra, and makes it seem a little higher end. That may not matter to most, but I like it.Overall, I find this a great additional to my workspace, and really appreciate the extra space and the positioning my monitors end up in. I’d absolutely get this again if I needed something similar.
